2.5 Dimension TV: Locadol Promotion Illustration Contest
ENGLISH TERMS AND CONDITIONS
2.5 Dimension TV (hereafter referred to as the Company) will hold the 2.5 Dimension TV: Locadol Promotion Illustration Contest (hereafter referred to as the contest) at pixiv, the web community platform for illustrators that is run by pixiv Inc. 1. Eligible Participants This contest is open to all registered pixiv users who have read and agreed to these terms. Entries from contestants related to the Company and any affiliated teams will not be accepted. Contestants under 18 years old should obtain parental consent before entering. Contestant must be the individual author of the submitted work. 2. Submission Period Thursday, June 13th, 2013 to Wednesday, July 31st, 2013 23:59 (Japan Standard Time). 3. Participation Method (1) Illustrations, created by you, are required to include an original “local idol” character with a reference to a local area, such as clothing, accessories, songs, and dances. (2) Illustrations submitted with the following tags are entered into the contest on pixiv. Illustration Tags: ロカドルイラコン nameofyourprefecture For Example (Gunma Prefecture): ロカドルイラコン 群馬県 ※If you live outside of Japan, the second tag needs to be of your country. ロカドルイラコン nameofcountryhere For Example (United States): ロカドルイラコン USA Entries without these tags attached will not eligible for the contest. 4. Submission Format (1) There are no size restrictions for submission, however, winners will need to submit a 3508 pixel by 2480 pixel, A4 sized, 300 dpi file. It can be in any orientation. (2) Number of Submissions: You may submit more than 1 entry, as long as they are not duplicate entries. (3) If the winner cannot produce data of the specified size above, there is a chance that they may forfeit their win. Accepted data can only be the specified size above or larger, proportional to A4. Enlarged files will not be accepted, regardless if they are larger than the specified size or not. (4) Please do not use any copyrights or trademarks as they will invalidate your entry. 5. Selection Process Entries will undergo a strict judging process by 2.5 Dimension TV before winners are declared. Prizes will include: 【First-Choice Winners】6 winners will win 50,000 yen 【Second-Choice Winners 】A maximum of 47 winners will win 25,000 yen pixiv and 2.5 Dimension are not responsible for any custom fees, duty taxes, or brokerage fees that your country may impose on international shipping or transfer of money. Winners will be responsible for any additional charges in receiving their prizes. 6. Contest Terms Your submission will serve as an acceptance of the terms outlined throughout this entire document. Please be sure you have read them before submitting your entry. If there are any discrepancies with this document and the Japanese Terms and Conditions, the Japanese Terms and Conditions will serve as the true document. (1)The following are grounds for disqualification of a work. Furthermore, the Company reserves the right to disqualify a work if the work is determined to be in violation after having been qualified as a winner in the selection process: Works that violate the ownership rights of pixiv Inc., pixiv users, and other third parties; as well as intellectual property rights, including copyright, privilege, trust, and other privacy rights
    ・Works that contain obscenity, torture, discrimination, explicit sexual themes, and other elements that are potentially offensive to a third party ・Works that violate public order and morals ・Works that are deemed to be inappropriate ・Any works based on existing work, works scheduled to be released, works that are already submitted for other contests, or works that have already won other contests ・Incomplete or incorrect contest information during submission ・Other aspects of the work that are deemed to be unsuitable for public display
(2)2.5 Dimension TV will retain the possession and the copyright of winning contestants’ works if they are to be used. Any work that does not win remains property of the contributor. Contestants agree and acknowledge that (i) 2.5 Dimension may use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted works in any and all media, throughout the world and for any purpose, without compensation to the contestants of any kind; (ii) pixiv reserves the right to publish, adapt, and alter the submitted works for the purposes of posting them to pixiv's official homepage, Twitter account, Facebook Page, and and any other related social accounts. (3)Contestants are not to exercise the moral right of the author towards the Company or any third party. The Company will not inform all contestants once the selection results are announced. All results will be announced on the pixiv main site and 2.5 Dimension TV website http://www.nitengo.tv/. Winners’ pen names will be written along with their work. (4)If you include a prefecture logo, please understand that copyright issues may differ from each prefecture. Check with your prefecture on how they handle it.
    ・These prefectures will not be judging if you use their logo: Miyagi, Fukushima, Niigata, Tochigi, Saitama, Nagano, Mie, Osaka, Nara, Wakayama, Hyogo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Okinawa. ・These prefectures may need to see your work if you use their logo, therefore using it may have a chance of invalidation: Hokkaido, Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Yamagata, Tokyo, Gunma, Chiba, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Fukuyama, Gifu, Fukui, Shiga, Kyoto, Tottori, Okayama, Shimane, Yamaguchi, Tokushima, Ehime, Fukuoka, Saga, Ooita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima. ・These prefectures require an application to request to use their logo: Ibaraki, Yamanashi, Ishikawa, Aichi, Kagawa, and Kouchi.
(5)Your personal information will be protected as written at http://www.nitengo.tv/rule/privacy/. (6)By entering this contest, contestants agree that pixiv reserves the right to publish, adapt, and alter their work for promotional purposes of posting to pixiv's official Twitter account, Facebook page, the Company's webpage, promotional site, printed media, and exhibition events, regardless of the contest results. (7)Winning work will be used on the Locadol Promotion Project. (8)Contestants who remove their entries during the contest will forfeit the contest and their work will no longer be accepted as an entry. (9)The Company will not be responsible for any charges contestants may incur during the submission of their work. (10)The Company will use the contest information solely for the purpose of communicating with the contestants during the selection process. 7. Disclaimer (1)Contestants assume responsibility for their own submissions. (2)The Company will not be responsible for any disputes that may happen between the contestants and other users, regardless of reason. (3)The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate the contest in case the Company or pixiv Inc. deems it necessary for any reason, including system maintenance. (4)The Company will not be liable for any damages incurred by the contestants, including but not limited to contest interruption, suspension, or cancellation. (5)The Company will be responsible for any direct damages caused by willful or gross negligence caused during the contest period, regardless of immunity. 8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction The contest and its terms shall be governed by Japanese law. Furthermore, the Tokyo District Court shall be the mutually-agreed court for any proceedings, with jurisdiction for the preliminary trial in the case of any disputes over contest terms or matters between the Company and the contestants.
