Starting Jan 6th, Weekly Shonen Sunday and pixiv is holding the Rookie Two-Page Spread Contest!
The contest looks for original manga that highlights a two-page spread--that's when you have two pages act as one page for an effect.
The Grand Prize winner will get their comic published in either Weekly Shonen Sunday or Sunday S Special Edition as well as get a monetary prize of 200,000 yen.



【Contest Duration】
Wednesday, Jan 6th 2016 to Monday, Feb 29th 2016 23:59 Japan Standard Time

【How to Enter】
1. Draw at least a two-page spread among a comic that is at least 4 pages long and up to 16 pages.
*Work you've created before this contest are allowed for entry.

2. Upload the illustration to pixiv with the below contest tag attached.
Contest Tag: すごい見開き新人賞

By doing the above, you will have entered the contest.

【Submission Format】
Web submission size: No restrictions.
*Winning entries must provide a B4-ready manuscript with at least 600 or 1200 dpi.

Pages: 4 to 16 pages with at least one 2-page spread.

Multiple Entries: You can submit more than one entry, however duplicate entries are not allowed.

【Selection Process】
After a strict judging process, the winning entries will be decided.

Gold Prize: Awarded 200,000 yen with their work published in either Weekly Shonen Sunday or Sunday S
Silver Prize: Awarded 100,000 yen
Bronze Prize: Awarded 50,000 yen
