On July 29th, 2022, pixiv novels will reach its 12th year of service.
A total of 18 million novels have been posted and get about 140 million views weekly. We are very thankful to the many writers and readers that have been enjoying and supporting our service.
Developed features
This year we updated body text entry on the mobile version of the site, the ability to search for series, and made many other improvements.
In addition, we developed brand new features such as linking with pixivFACTORY to allow for easy book creation and the ability to embed links to the pixiv Encyclopedia.
■ Release of the series search feature
■ Added feature to allow you to filter novel rankings by language
■ Released new novel text entry method for mobile
■ Added feature to embed links to pixiv Encyclopedia within pixiv novels
■ A novel tab was added to "Users' projects"
■ You can now easily create books from novels that you posted
■ We cam up with a better display for images in novels
■ You can now immediately open the main text of novels right away
■ You can now select tags, age restrictions, and covers for novel series
■ You can now view related works while remaining in novel view in the app
■ You can now view your Watchlist from the new releases page on mobile
Contests
In the past year, we held 36 contests.
In the manga contest held in cooperation with a publishing company, a lot of works were submitted, and they garnered a large degree of attention.
In addition, we held the second contest with the Japanese SF Writer's Club and the fourth yuri novel contest. We will continue to increase the number of contests that we hold.
New novel templates
The templates allowing you to display the title of the novel released for the 10th anniversary of pixiv novels will now be available to everyone.
In concert with this, 60 new designs in that style created by 12 different illustratore have been added. These designs can only be used by pixiv Premium subscribers.
