The previous Reitaisai illustration contest, using the "View count battle based illustration contest" format was met with great success, and this year we will once again use the same format for this contest. This contest will once again revolve around "Touhou Project", and this contest is hosted in conjunction with the "Hakurei Shrine Reitaisai" doujin event taking place on May.

"pixiv × The Ninth Hakurei Shrine Reitaisai Illustration Contest" Special Webpage (Japanese only)
This time, the battle format will include 8 main titles with 2 main characters, discounting the spin-off games from Touhou Project, and they will be divided into 2 teams, "Red and White". The 8 main games will then be assigned on the both red and white team respectively and 5 teams from Red and White will pit on the battle with each other through the amount of submissions for both teams respectively. The teams will be fighting based on the total amount of view accounts accumulated.
Once the contest period for a category is over, all of the view counts from both teams will be added and calculated in order to decide the winner. Teams with the designated tag that has the most total view count will be the winner and points will be awarded to the team. Once the final battle ends, teams that has the most points will be the winner of this contest.
※The final battle will have Team Reimu (霊夢), which include all teams from the red team and herself competing with Team Marisa (魔理沙), which include all teams from the white side and herself in the battle of the most view counts accumulated throughout the contest.
