You can now get notified when a creator reopens their Requests

Greetings from pixiv Requests. Starting April 10th, 2024, on the desktop and mobile versions of pixiv you'll be able to see when creators are taking a break from accepting Requests and receive notifications when they reopen Requests. Starting from April 10th, 2024, if creators pause all their Request terms, their profiles will display a "Requests closed" badge and a "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button.

About the "Requests closed" badge

This badge indicates that the creator has paused all their Request terms. Starting from the feature's release date, it will automatically be displayed on the creator's profile if they have suspended all their Request terms.

For creators who have paused all Request terms by April 10th, 2024, or earlier

If you've already paused all your Request terms before this date, you'll need to activate this badge yourself. You can do so at any time from the "Manage requests" page. Without your action, the "Requests closed" badge and the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button will not appear on your profile.

About the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button

This button allows you to get notified when a creator reopens Requests. Notifications will appear in the top-right corner of pixiv's website and also be sent via e-mail. With this feature, you'll be the first to know when a creator resumes accepting Requests. Rest assured that pressing the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button will not share your personal information with the creator.

How to set up notifications

Desktop version: Press the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button on the Work details page or the creator's profile.
Mobile version: Press the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button on the creator's profile.

For creators

If someone presses the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button, you will receive a notification. The frequency of these notifications varies depending on how many times the button is pressed. The pixiv Novel Image Maker has been renewed and is now permanently available

This feature allows you to select any passage from your posted novels and create eye-catching images to share on social media to draw more readers to your stories. Take advantage of this feature to help your novels get the attention they deserve! * You can only create images from your novels that are either set to Public or My pixiv only.

What’s new

In addition to making the feature permanent, we've implemented four updates based on feedback received during the feature's limited-time release.

① A total of 30 templates to choose from

In addition to the 6 templates offered during the limited-time release, we've added 24 new ones for a total of 30 templates to choose from. Find the perfect template for your work and have fun creating images to share! * The haiku templates specific to the Illustrated Haiku Contest held during the limited-time release are not included in this renewal.

② Horizontal text option available

While only vertical text was supported during the feature's limited-time release, you can now create images with horizontal text too.

③ Adjustable font size

The font size can be set to auto, small, medium, or large. This new feature allows you to choose the size that best fits the amount of text you want to include in your image, going beyond the automatic adjustments of the past.

④ Create images right after posting a novel

We've added a "Create an image" button to the novel posting page, making it easier for you to start creating images to share right after you post your novel. Searching for works by creators accepting requests has never been easier

Greetings from pixiv Requests. From December 25, 2023, on the desktop and mobile versions of pixiv, searching for works by creators accepting requests will get even easier. This update allows you to use tags to filter works from the list of creators accepting requests by character, genre, art style, and more. If you have an image in your head of a work you'd like to request, but you're still looking for a creator who matches your vision, this feature is for you!

How to find creators

Open the Requests portal, and select tags for your preferred characters, genres, art styles, etc. If the tag you would like to filter by is not displayed on the main list, you can manually enter it yourself. If you find a work you like, you can use this feature to check what kind of requests the creator is accepting.

On desktop: From the work details page, click the "Show request terms" button

You can also select multiple tags to narrow down your request content even more precisely. The results of your tag search will be displayed with the newest posts at the top. In the future, we will add updates to make it possible to customize how to sort search results.

For creators

If there are certain types of works or situations you do not accept requests for, please clearly state that in your request terms. Example: if you often post fan art, but you only accept requests for original work, etc. Fans (requesters) will send requests to creators based on the type of work you usually post on pixiv. If the type of work you usually post and the type of work you accept requests for are different, you can clearly state this in your request terms to avoid misunderstandings. Character count Search based on the character count displayed when looking at a list of works or on the work details page. Previously, the resend feature only allowed creators to invite fans to resend requests with the exact same content. Now creators can invite fans to resend requests while asking them to change some of the settings. ■ Options when inviting a fan to resend a request You can request that the fan change the work type and/or the age restrictions. Work types include illustrations, manga, Ugoira, and novels. If the creator feels that the type of work requested by the fan doesn't fit with the content of the request, they can ask the fan to change the work type. For age restrictions, requesters can select either "All-Ages" or "R-18/R-18G". If the creator feels that the age restrictions requested by the fan don't fit with the content of the request, they can ask the fan to change the age restrictions. For details on age restrictions, please refer to the pixiv Guidelines. *In some cases, it may not be possible to change the parameters listed above due to the creator's original request terms or the requester's settings. ■ Requests eligible for this feature You can invite a fan to resend a request if it was a request you previously declined or for which the response deadline has expired. *You can use this feature for requests that were declined or expired prior to March 30, 2023. *You cannot invite fans to resend requests that you accepted but didn't complete by the deadline. As stated in the announcement released on December 8th, all creators were asked to update their settings in advance of the rollout of this feature. Pre-rollout request to update your Request terms stating whether you will post AI-generated work ■ Request terms that haven't yet been set to specify the presence/absence of AI-generated work will be set automatically As stated in the December 8th announcement, all Request terms that haven't been updated to specify AI-generated work are updated automatically as of Thursday, December 22nd, 2:00 pm JST. The automatic settings are determined based on the creator's pixiv data, and on how many AI-generated works they have posted via the Requests feature. Creators whose settings were automatically changed have been contacted by the pixiv Requests official account via pixiv Messages. This setting affects the AI-generated work settings on all works posted via the Requests feature from December 22nd onward. This setting does not affect any requests that were sent out prior to December 22nd. If the automatic setting on your Request terms is in error, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask that you change your settings accordingly. The settings procedure is detailed below. ■ For users who specify in their terms that they post AI-generated work in response to requests Please select "Post only AI-generated work". The relevant articles from the pixiv Encyclopedia will be displayed, explaining the meanings of search term vocabulary and tags on works. Also, if you’d like to learn more about vocabulary or tags, you can click a link to jump to the relevant page in the pixiv Encyclopedia.
