pixiv SUKI1's December Contest "Oyako Design" will be held from December 10th, 2020 (Thu). In this contest, we want parents to redesign the works their children drew independently and post them to pixiv. It's based off the concept originally posted on Twitter by Thomas Romain and published by Genkosha in the book Oyako Design.
Thomas Romain will be in charge of judging this contest.

Why not do something a little different this holiday season and try creating a joint work with your children? You may even make some nice memories!

How to Participate
1. Please arrange your child's illustration and your design as the parent together for comparison.
2. Attach the following tag to the work and post to pixiv.

■ About pixiv SUKI1
pixiv SUKI1 is a submission project held monthly (ツキ1, tsuki ichi) on pixiv, where creators can convey their likes (スキ, suki) on a variety of themes.
* The works of contest participants may be featured on the Official pixiv Twitter account.

You can participate with illustrations.
There is no restriction on the size of the web-posted images.
You can submit more than one work.
The winning artwork must be submitted in a minimum size of 1,732 x 1,732 px for acrylic block production.

○ Eligible Participants
This contest is open to all registered pixiv users who have agrees to all of the Application Guidelines. (Entries from companies and multiple creators will not be accepted.)
* Underage contestants should obtain parental consent before entering.

○ Selection Process
Entries will undergo a rigorous judging process before winners are decided.

○ How to Participate

○ Contest Terms
Your submission, posted according to the method detailed in "How to Participate", will serve as your acceptance of the contest terms. Please be sure to read through all of the Application Guidelines before submitting your entry.
(1) All entries (including ones entered under a nickname) will be judged. Furthermore, entries found to be in violation of the guidelines after the judging will be disqualified. This includes the following:
・Works that violate the ownership rights of pixiv Inc, pixiv users, and other third parties; as well as intellectual property rights, including copyright, privilege, trust, and other privacy rights.
・Works that contain obscenity, torture, discrimination, explicit sexual themes, and other elements that are potentially offensive.
・Works that violate public order and morals.
・Works that pixiv Inc. deems unsuitable for public display.
・Any works based on existing work/goods, works/goods scheduled to be released, works/goods that have already been submitted to other contests, or works/goods that have already won other contests.
・Works that are missing or misinterpreting a requirement.
・Works that pixiv Inc. finds inappropriate.
(2) Contestants own all rights to their artwork/creations.
(3) Contestants will not be informed individually when the selection results are announced. The winners will be contacted by pixiv and/or pixiv's official social media accounts. Please note that if pixiv does not hear back from successful contestants, they may not be able to receive their prize.
(4) Contestants, regardless if they win or not, may have their entries, pixiv nicknames, and other related items to the contest posted to pixiv’s official Twitter, Facebook, and other social media accounts, reprinted in print media, displayed at exhibitions, and other magazines or books. pixiv may adapt or minorly edit the work.
(5) Contestants who remove their entries during the contest will forfeit the contest and their work will no longer be accepted as an entry.
(6) pixiv Inc. will not be responsible for any charges contestants may incur during the submission of their entry.
(7) pixiv Inc. will use the contest information solely for the purpose of communicating with the contestants during the selection process. pixiv Inc. will protect individuals’ information according to their privacy policy.

○ Disclaimer
(1) Contestants assume responsibility for their own submissions.
(2) pixiv Inc. will not be responsible for any disputes that may happen between the contestants and other users, regardless of the reason.
(3) pixiv Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate the contest in case pixiv Inc. deems it necessary for any reason, including system maintenance.
(4) pixiv Inc. will not be liable for any damages incurred by the contestants, including, but not limited, to contest interruption, suspension, or cancellation.
(5) pixiv Inc. will not be responsible for any direct damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence cause during the contest period, regardless of immunity, as determined by the Application Guidelines and disclaimers.

○ Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The contest and its terms shall be governed by Japanese law. Furthermore, the Tokyo District Court shall be the mutually-agreed court for any proceedings, with jurisdiction for the preliminary trial in the case of any disputes over contest terms or matters between the Company and the contestants.
