pixiv started on February 10th, 2007 as a service that allows users to enjoy communication through posted works, and as "a place that makes your creation process all the more fun". As of today, teenagers and users in their 20s account for the majority of users, and the website, where new pop-culture trends are born and gather every day, boasts a total of 76 million posted works.
