On May 11th, 2021 (Tue), Novels is holding the contest, "Writing Support Project ~ Twins ~".
This contest accepts novels under a theme that changes periodically.
The theme this round is "Twins".
Works featuring twins in any sort of fashion are accepted, including twins who make a great team, the moment they say goodbye despite their close bond, or perhaps a twin suddenly appearing out of nowhere!
One winner will be chosen via a lottery from among the contestants. They'll be able to receive a paired item, an item that might be part of a pair, or an item that would be beneficial as a pair (a leather dust jacket in two colors, a seasoning set featuring 20 double-yolked eggs to make rice tastier, and a dual monitor set for PC). Amazon gift codes will be given to 20 runners-up.
Entry Period:
From May 11th, 2021 (Tue) to June 30th, 2021 (Wed), 11:59 pm JST
Theme:
Novels under the theme "Twins" will be accepted. The form of the content, genre, and finer details are not considered.
Entry Format:
Please post your novel to pixiv and attach both the project tag "執筆応援PJ21May" and at least one sub-theme tag to your novel. You can pick whichever of these tags you like (original text in parenthesis).
Project tag (required): 執筆応援PJ21May
Sub-theme tags (select at least one):
Twins(Japanese tag: 双子)
Swappedout (Japanese tag: 身代わり)
Separation(Japanese tag: 別れ)
Loverivals (Japanese tag: 恋敵)
Clones (Japanese tag: クローン)
Doppelgangers (Japanese tag: ドッペルゲンガー)
There isn't a required format (such as short stories or long forms) on the novel you submit (referred to as "contest entries"). The only requirement is that they be over 500 characters.
* You can enter a series into the contest, but please note that one series will only be one entry in the lottery.
* You can submit as many entries as you like, but understand that one post is one work (including series).
* Incomplete stories are okay!
* If your entry includes content unsuitable for those under 18, please make sure the age restriction is set as R-18 or R-18G.
* Only works posted after May 11th, 2021 (Tue), 12:00 midnight JST will be considered for the lottery.
* Contest entries may receive comments and stamps from the pixiv Novels Editorial team.
Eligible Participants:
This contest is open to all registered pixiv users who have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
* Entries from companies and multiple creators will not be accepted.
* Underage contestants should obtain the consent of a guardian before entering.
Contest Terms:
Please note that the following conditions make a work ineligible for the lottery.
* Works posted before May 10th, 2021 (Mon), 11:59:59 pm JST.
* Works posted or edited after the entry period has ended.
* Works unrelated to the contest theme.
* Works set to Private or My pixiv only.
One lottery winner can select one of the following:
- A leather dust jacket in two colors
- A seasoning set featuring 20 double-yolked eggs to make rice tastier (* the sorting of double-yolked eggs is done by hand, so it's possible there may be single-yolked eggs mixed in)
- A dual monitor set for PC (* the brand and other specifications cannot be made)
20 other winners
- a 1,000 JPY Amazon gift code (approx. 10 USD)
While we're accepting applicants from abroad, Amazon gift codes are limited to use with Amazon.co.jp. Winners outside of Japan will be given the option to use another service to receive their 1,000 JPY, with any remittance fees deducted. However, the currency will be limited to JPY.
