Greetings from pixiv. Thank you for using our service.
We would like to inform you about the changes made to the Bookmark page.
In June 2021, the total number of registered users on pixiv has exceeded 68 million worldwide, with Bookmarks about to reach 13 billion.
As a result, to continue providing the best service possible, we had to make some changes to reduce the server load. As part of these changes, we have released a new Bookmark page on the desktop version of pixiv.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience the release of the new Bookmark page and the upcoming database changes may cause.
■ Problems you may experience on the new Bookmark page
You can add or delete Bookmark tags as usual, but you will be temporarily unable to edit the tags you have already created.
We hope to solve the server load issue, and this problem, during August.
Furthermore, we plan to re-implement the Bookmark tag edit feature in September.
We apologize for the inconvenience and kindly ask for your patience until the issue is resolved.
■ The changes made to the Bookmark database and the effect it will have
We will perform servers maintenance during August to resolve the server load issue.
During this time, there will be some changes made to the specifications of the Bookmark page.
Changes will be applied to the pixiv app, desktop, and mobile version.
What are the changes?
・Until now, the Bookmarks feature was not case-sensitive. With this change, uppercase and lowercase letters will be distinguished as different characters.
・We fixed an issue that caused some emojis to be grouped with other emojis, making them hard to search for. Each emoji will now be distinguished as unique.
Due to the temporary changes made to the specifications of the page, you might not be able to view or use the previous features and will have to wait until the new feature is ready.
As mentioned earlier, we plan to re-implement the Bookmark tag edit feature in September. You may experience some inconveniences until that time, but we kindly ask for your patience.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
