From June 1st, 2022, the maximum size for Ugoira (GIF animations) has been increased to 16MB.
Ugoira (うごイラ) are pictures that have a little bit of animation added. They can be a set of PNG or JPEG images, or a GIF animation.
The maximum size for these GIF animations has been doubled.
While up until now you often had to limit the number of colors and frames of your animated GIFs, with this change you'll be able to post longer animations in higher resolution.
Size changes:
■ Animated GIF size
Before: up to 8MB → After: up to 16MB
* The maximum number of frames is unchanged.
