Greetings from pixiv. Starting June 25th, 2024, you will be able to edit single sections of an article by clicking on the header on the mobile and desktop versions of pixiv Encyclopedia. Previously, if you wanted to edit a part of an article, you had to search for that section through the entire article on the editing page. You will now be able to click the edit button (pencil icon) next to the header to access the editing page for that specific section. This new feature makes it easier to concentrate on what you're editing, and also makes the whole process faster.Use this feature whenever you notice a typo or missing information as you read an article. *To edit an article, you must first log in to pixiv Encyclopedia with your pixiv account. Follow the steps below to open the editing page from the header.

"Home" and "Discover" tabs will be added to the homepage

This update will add two tabs, "Home" and "Discover." There will be no change to the existing "Illustrations", "Manga", and "Novels" tabs, which can be used as before.

About the Home tab

This tab displays recommended works based on your viewing history and works that are popular on pixiv. You may be shown illustrations, manga, and novels altogether. Recommended works are displayed in a vertical row along with the author's name and title, allowing you to enjoy each work in detail compared to the traditional tile display. You can also add bookmarks or display and post comments directly from this screen. *If you view a work for a certain time in Home, it will be counted as a view for that work. *For information on view count, please check the help page below. What are view counts? *Age-restricted works will not be displayed in Home.

Displaying multi-page posts and novels in Home

For illustrations and manga that are multi-page, you can view up to three pages by using the slider. For pages 4 and beyond, click "Show all" to view them on the work page. For novels, you can also view the cover page and read the first part by using the slider.

About the Discover tab

This tab allows you to discover new works using a different approach. You will see works categorized by tags, such as tags based on your browsing history and trending tags that are frequently searched on pixiv, recommended creators, and articles from pixivision. Greetings from pixiv. Starting June 17th, 2024, you can use a passkey to log in to your pixiv account. Passkeys are available on the smartphone and desktop versions of pixiv, and the pixiv app. A passkey is an authentication method that replaces a password and uses built-in device authentication functions such as face or fingerprint recognition, PIN code, etc. Passkeys make login easier and more secure, for both smartphones and PCs.

Features

Passkeys make logging in easier as they use the device's built-in authentication features such as face or fingerprint authentication, PIN code, etc.
Passkeys are created and saved for each device or cloud service, so there is no need to remember them like passwords. They are safe because third parties cannot guess them and cannot be reused on other sites.
Your face, fingerprint, PIN, etc. will not be shared with pixiv.

Logging in with a passkey is available on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac devices. *It may not be available depending on the OS/browser version. Please check the article below for details.

How to set up a passkey?

You can now get notified when a creator reopens their Requests

Starting April 10th, 2024, on the desktop and mobile versions of pixiv you'll be able to see when creators are taking a break from accepting Requests and receive notifications when they reopen Requests. Starting from April 10th, 2024, if creators pause all their Request terms, their profiles will display a "Requests closed" badge and a "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button.

About the "Requests closed" badge

This badge indicates that the creator has paused all their Request terms. Starting from the feature's release date, it will automatically be displayed on the creator's profile if they have suspended all their Request terms.

For creators who have paused all Request terms by April 10th, 2024, or earlier

If you've already paused all your Request terms before this date, you'll need to activate this badge yourself. You can do so at any time from the "Manage requests" page. Without your action, the "Requests closed" badge and the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button will not appear on your profile.

About the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button

This button allows you to get notified when a creator reopens Requests. Notifications will appear in the top-right corner of pixiv's website and also be sent via e-mail. With this feature, you'll be the first to know when a creator resumes accepting Requests. Rest assured that pressing the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button will not share your personal information with the creator.

How to set up notifications

Desktop version: Press the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button on the Work details page or the creator's profile.
Mobile version: Press the "Notify me when they reopen Requests" button on the creator's profile.

What’s new

In addition to making the feature permanent, we've implemented four updates based on feedback received during the feature's limited-time release.

① A total of 30 templates to choose from

In addition to the 6 templates offered during the limited-time release, we've added 24 new ones for a total of 30 templates to choose from. ② Horizontal text option available

Searching for works by creators accepting requests has never been easier

Greetings from pixiv Requests. From December 25, 2023, on the desktop and mobile versions of pixiv, searching for works by creators accepting requests will get even easier. This update allows you to use tags to filter works from the list of creators accepting requests by character, genre, art style, and more. If you have an image in your head of a work you'd like to request, but you're still looking for a creator who matches your vision, this feature is for you!

How to find creators

Open the Requests portal, and select tags for your preferred characters, genres, art styles, etc. If the tag you would like to filter by is not displayed on the main list, you can manually enter it yourself. If you find a work you like, you can use this feature to check what kind of requests the creator is accepting.

On desktop: From the work details page, click the "Show request terms" button

You can also select multiple tags to narrow down your request content even more precisely. The results of your tag search will be displayed with the newest posts at the top. In the future, we will add updates to make it possible to customize how to sort search results.

For creators

If there are certain types of works or situations you do not accept requests for, please clearly state that in your request terms. Example: if you often post fan art, but you only accept requests for original work, etc. Fans (requesters) will send requests to creators based on the type of work you usually post on pixiv. If the type of work you usually post and the type of work you accept requests for are different, you can clearly state this in your request terms to avoid misunderstandings. However, with this update, you can filter your results by story length using three different parameters: character count, word count, and approximate reading time. After selecting a parameter, you can select a filter for that parameter, and run a search based on the filters below. Character count Search based on the character count displayed when looking at a list of works or on the work details page.
