DRAWFEST
The Massively Multi-artist Online (MMO) Drawing Festival
Drawfest is a hands-on live streaming event that consists of eight livestream programs, each one to four hours long. In addition to online workshops and lectures held by an assortment of internationally recognized illustrators, animators, and comic artists, there will also be programs for the audience to draw artworks all together. Everyone who draws is welcome. The event will offer simultaneous interpretation in both Japanese and English so that people from numerous regions will be able to participate in the festival.
With the sponsorship of Adobe, hololive English, NetEase, Netflix, and WIT STUDIO, there are also programs to let the audience and the personalities draw artworks of specific themes, such as hololive English, “Identity V”, and “GREAT PRETENDER”. The finished artworks will then be presented.
In recent years, anime-art-related content has drastically had cross-boundaries and cross-language fans. At the same time, artists worldwide have also been able to overcome language barriers and reach fans all over the world thanks to the changing environment.
Art is universal and has a special way of helping break down the barriers of regional and language differences. Drawfest was born from the idea of providing an online event with simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation, to give creators the chance to get together with other like-minded artists from all over the world so that everyone could interact and draw together.
When the number of applicants reaches a certain number, this form will be closed. Please hurry to apply!
