The pixiv Monthly International Illustration Award (official abbreviation: pixivMILA) is an event where creators from around the globe post original illustrations to pixiv and outstanding works are selected and awarded each month.
The goal is to discover talented creators worldwide, promote their original works, and support their future endeavors.
This event offers anyone, even those who have just started drawing, a chance to win an award and be invited to participate in projects and events by pixiv. The prize money is intended to support new creative activities and future projects.

Who can enter?
Users residing outside Japan with their pixiv language settings set to English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese.
What can I post?
Format
JPEG / GIF / PNG, each file up to 32MB.
Criteria
- Your entry should be an original work not previously published as a commercial piece on websites, in games, art collections, or already commercialized in other forms. It should not be a winning entry in another contest (including rewards) or made upon request by a third party.
- The entry should be posted to pixiv during the month of the contest (between the 1st and the last day of the month).
- The entry should be posted as an “Illustration” through pixiv's posting page.
- The entry should be marked as an “Original work”.
- The entry should not be fan art of specific content.
- The entry should not contain sexual expressions, extremely grotesque or violent imagery, and must be suitable for all ages (From the posting page set “Visible to: All ages”).
- The entry should not be primarily or wholly generated by AI or use AI-generated images, and should not be labeled as an “AI-generated work”.
- The entry should be set to “Public” (From the posting page set “Open to: Public”).
When will the results be announced?
Results are scheduled to be announced towards the end of the following month of each contest month.

*Receiving the monthly award doesn't alter the status of your submission – it remains a standard pixiv post. Furthermore, winning the award has no impact on the ownership rights of your artwork.
