Aurbelle, Étoile and Rayberg are 3 nations in a world overflowing with magic.

The 3 nations fought bitterly over the Treasure Stone, the source of magic. Burnt out by the war, 3 sages performed a ritual to restore peace.

The ritual known as "League" happens once every 4 years. Students from the 3 nations compete and whoever wins gets to hold the Treasure Stone for the next 4 years.

Aurbelle - Knowledge is Power
Governed by the sage Solain, the Head Master of the school is Ardia. This country is in the center of Magaea and values study and research. The country is surrounded by islands with many cultures and became a bastion of wisdom.
A great number of ancient traditions are respected and upheld. Aurbelle has an exclusive Seal Sword technique. Aurbelle is widely regarded for their practical applications of magic.

Étoile - Strength in Bonds
Governed by the sage Woz, the Head Master is a demon called Eliface. Blessed with clean water and lush forests, Etoile is in the West and teeming with life.
Etoile fought hardest but suffered the greatest losses for their ambition in the war and value the friendships they make with each other. Etoile is home to demons, demihumans and many other races.

Rayberg
Governed by the sage Wizralf, the Head Master of the school is Cornelius, a half fairy. This eastern nation values self study and harsh training. Rayberg boasts the largest number of schools of magic, each with its own quirks.
Rayberg is home to a number of noble houses with roots tracing back for eons. Rayberg has a reputation for having strange people.

In before "what if my character can't use magic?" I asked ArohaJ this over Twitter. メイジア世界では魔法はありふれたものなので、魔法＝勉学同じような形で考えていただければ幸いです。

Magaea is OVERFLOWING with Magic so if you think of Magic as Study, then I would be very pleased.

These are just my personal thoughts:
If magic is study then what magic means to your character is personal and highly important.
ArohaJ's answer felt like "the journey is more important than the destination."
